I just recently moved back to Asheville after 23 years in Georgia. I have many fond memories of walking down Griffing Blvd. to Lynn and Mrs. Duckett’s apartment so Lynn and I could ‘hang out’. Lynn, I saw your mom’s obituary in the paper this morning. I know that there were hard times during those childhood years I remember. I hope that your mama found peace since I knew her…I am sure you and your family brought her that. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I would love to see you.
Dear Family of Jean, I have known Jean, Mary Alice, their Father Harry and cousin Betty Barbara Ingle Bridgewater for many years. Jean was always a kind, loving and caring person and did not deserve some of the bumps in the road she encountered in life. We know that regardless of age health or any other circumstance in life we are never ready to lose our loved ones. As a Presbyterian Elder Jean would have us comforted by a real Faith in the Sovereignty of God and the manifested concern of caring friends. Please know we are thinking of you at this time. Picked up the paper today and I read the news.
My sympathies go out to you and yours.
I miss Mom and Dad very much and I am sure can feel your loss

Dear Lynn and family,
Thank you for the opportunity of knowing and
loving your precious mom. She was one in
a million and so proud of you and Breanna
and Evan. May God comfort you during this
difficult time.

Dear Lynn, I was sorry to read of your mother’s death. I hope all is good in your life. I have such fond memories of you and your mom when we were kids. Mary is in DC now and doing well. I will remember you when I talk with her again. I know you are enjoying your children – they grow up much too fast. Kimberly teaches second grade in Wilmington and Joe is here and working for Buncombe County and in the Army Reserves. My love to you, Lynn. I hope to see you soon.
Lynn and family: I am so sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing. I lost my Mom is 1990, so I can identify with your feelings. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Glenda
Dear Lynn, I was sad to read about your mother. She was a very special lady. She talked about you often and was proud of you. I met your mom in 1972. She was my nurse mentor at the health department. I was 23yo. She and I became friends and worked together most of her career.I just retired after 30 years of PHNursing. Your mom was an excellent public health nurse, cared for her patients and many times worked long and late to make something happen for the families she was helping. We worked the clinics, Deaverview, Pisgahview and others. She was special and had alot of patience to work with me.I am thankful that I knew her and had the opportunity to learn from her. My sympathy, Patsy.
To the family;
My deepest condolences in your recent loss. Your Mother and I worked together for years @ the Health Department.
May the heart soon be filled with fond memories.
Regards,
Mrs. Isabel S. Weaver
Heartfelt sympathy to Lynn and all of Jean’s family. I have warm memories of working with Jean at the Buncombe County Health Center.
