Lisa Marie Dalton Bradford, 48, of Weaverville, died Sunday, October 16, 2011, at Memorial Campus, Mission Hospitals. A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of A. Gaston Dalton and of the late Dorothy Dalton. She was retired from the Department of Social Services. In addition to her father, Mrs. Bradford is survived by her husband of 19 years, Randall Bradford; daughters Heather Holloway of Charlotte, and Stacey Holloway of Weaverville; step-son Clint Bradford of Weaverville; step-daughter Brooke Bradford of Asheville; brother Mark Dalton and wife Andrea of Pensacola, FL; and her beloved puppies Oscar and Thad. Lisa was selfless, humble, a good Christian, and the best mother. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tommy Bridges officiating. Her family will receive friends following the service.

  11. Lisa was my supervisor at Craggy Correctional Center. She was always kind and fair. I was so sorry to read this morning that she had passed away.

    Lisa adored her husband and children and spoke of them everyday. Until you see her again remember how much she loved you all.

  12. Bradford Family..I was so sorry to hear of Lisa’s passing. I worked with Lisa in DSS Finance, years back. I remember her as always looking so sharp, was funny, friendly and a great co-worker. I know she will be missed by those who knew her. May God be with you during this time.

  13. I am so sorry for the loss of Lisa. She was a very special person.From time to time when my son was a little boy, he would say ‘Mommy can we go see wisa at the shurrff’s dept. I want another sucker.’ We saw Lisa @ the grocery store & she gave Brandon a sucker. He never forgot it. Praying for your family. Peace and comfort during this sad time.

    Randy, I enjoyed getting to know her when we worked at the MCSO and our children were growing up together. She always brightened any room she entered. I remember how proud she was of all the children~~hers and yours! I always admired her spunky nature and her sense of humor.

  34. I first met Lisa while working with her at Craggy Correctional Center. She was promoted and then became my supervisor. I could not have asked for a better boss. Lisa had a sweet personality and a unique sense of humor. The picture of Lisa is one I made of her. We had the best time that day with her photo shoot. She was a beautiful lady and I will miss her. God be with you, Randy and children. You are all in my prayers.
