Our dear Cousins and Family,
How we loved Alice, and how my dear Mother, Tootsie, loved her! We shall miss her with all of our hearts, but we rejoice that she is now well and rejoicing in Heaven with all the saints who have gone on before us. This does not keep us from grieving, but thank God we do not grieve as those who have no hope, for our hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ.
There just are not words for a time such as this. Please know that our hearts feel for each one of you, and that dearest Alice will be in our hearts forever.
All our love,
Norma (Half-Pint) & Julian Cochrane
Our love and prayers go out to Alice’s family. We are never fully prepared to lose someone we love so much. My Dad (Kelly Howard’s) Mother was Flora Whiteside. Even though I only met Alice a couple of times through the years, my Mother still talks about what a warm reception she received from Alice when she first came into the family and was introduced to her. She said no matter where they met after that Alice was always so friendly and quick to speak and such a Godly woman. She left a wonderful legacy for her family. May you feel God’s arms around you during this time of grief.
I would like to express my deepest sympathy to Alice’s family and friends. I work with her grandaughter, Alesia and even though I never had the fortune of meeting ‘Granny’ I felt like I knew her from all the great memories and stories shared by Alesia. Granny’s are special people and will remain forever in our hearts. God Bless.
I just want to take a few minutes to say how truly sorry I am at the passing of Granny. I never meet this sweet dear lady in person, but I feel I meet her through the eyes of her grandaughter Alesia. It is a wonderful testimony when you live your life as Christ would and you touch people that you never meet. God bless each of you in this difficult time.
Alesia,
Even though I could not be there I wanted you to know I am praying for you and your family. I love you.

I will never forget all the love and kindness that Aunt Alice bestowed on that skinny little city girl. It is as if God blessed her with a surplus of never ending love. And for those of us who needed it, we’d soak it up like the sun. Being in her presence made you feel warm, loved and safe She was a confidant, a nurturer and truly one of the most amazing, women I shall ever know or meet again.
My love and deepest sympathy to the wonderful Whiteside family whom I dearly love and to all of our beloved family and friends who share in our love and grief.
Aunt Alice was an inspiration and a true testimony to the importance and meaning of family and unconditional love.
May her wise and caring words and deeds live on in all the generations that follow. Even as a young girl I remember she’d always say….’Families need to stick together and stay together.’ You will be forever loved and forever missed.
Michelle
