Alma Kirstein Dotson

A native and life long resident of Buncombe County Mrs. Dotson was the daughter of the late Leander and Maggie Nesbitt Kirstein; and the wife of the late Henry Harrison Dotson who died in 1996.  Mrs. Dotson was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church.

Surviving are four sons, Clifton H. Dotson and his wife Jane of Fairview; Gary L. Dotson and his wife Judy of Arden; H.M. “Mac” Dotson; and Carroll Dotson and his wife Brenda, all of Fairview. One sister Irene Pressley; and one brother L.L. Kirstein both of Fairview; Ten Grandchildren and Seven Great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held  2:00 PM  Monday, October 11, 1999 at Bethany United Methodist Church in Fairview with the Reverend Clarence Bishop and the Reverend Bobby Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM Sunday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian in Arden, where Mrs. Dotson will be until placed in the church thirty minutes before the service.
