    • Thank you, Reba. These events – the deaths of those most dear to us – seem to be difficult during this part of our lives but if it were not for these times, we would never know and understand the “real peace” that comes from within us, where Christ actually lives and moves in our spirit-life. You are a blessing to us, and to so many other people. Keep trusting in God’s plan; He will never leave you and He will never forsake you! Mike & Nancy

  1. He was a wonderful man. I enjoyed my years working with him. I’m sorry for your loss. Danny Lanning

  2. I know Jack was ready to meet Jesus and I am happy for him but sooo sorry for Marilyn who has lost her soulmate. I can only imagine the chaos in heaven that he and his brothers and sisters are causing and truly enjoying. Hallelujah!!!

  3. I know Jack was ready to meet Jesus and I am happy for him but saddened for Marilyn who has lost her soulmate. Jack is with his brothers and sisters causing a lot of chaos and enjoying every minute. God Bless his family.

  4. While I am confident of Jack’s joy at going home to see his Lord and daughter, those of us left behind have a very empty spot in our own hearts at his passing. Jack was a family man. He and Marilyn raised 7 children and the love he had for his own kids spilled out and covered a multitude of other young people who were in need of that love. He was there for a number of us when no one else was. He and Marilyn prayed for and supported the ministries of many full time Christian ministries, including our work with the Navajo Indian people. To say he will be missed is an understatement! I personally will be looking for him when the day comes that the Lord sees fit to call me home.

  5. I knew Uncle Jack and Aunt Marilyn through my husband Gregg primarily, as well as other friends I met TTU. They influenced so many including my husband to come to Christ. Gregg was one of the ones Tom Hill just mentioned above.. I am happy for Uncle Jack, but grieve with those left behind, especially Aunt Marilyn. It is true that we do not grieve like those who have no hope. Prayers for peace and comfort at this time.

  6. Mike,
So sorry to read about your father’s passing. We extend our deepest sympathy to you, your mom and
    family.
    Judy Ward

    • Thank you, Judy Ward, for the words of kindness and encouragement. He had been wanting to “go home” for several years. A couple of days before his death, he told the nurse in the “CCP (covid) virus” unit, “My anniversary is August 14th.” He seemed to have waited for the morning of that day to move from this earth life into the “spirit life” presence of the Lord.

  7. May God grant comfort to you all during this time of grief. He died on my birthday as well as his anniversary. What precious memories of Jack, Marilyn and all the children. May how the family has extended. I thank the Lord for the impact made on my own life to have known Jack. God bless you all!

  8. Miss you Uncle Jack. Thanks for the offer of the van…I am thankful you were in my life. I will stop by the cemetary to visit. You send me a sign ok

  9. Marilyn, Mike, Nancy and family:
Thomas and I were honored to know and serve your parents and your family. I’m so sorry it has taken so long for us to hear of Jack’s passing. From the start he reminded me of my Dad in Texas so he held a very special place in heart. We send our thoughts, prayers and love to you all.

  10. He was my youth pastor when I went to Bethany Baptist Church . We had lots of fun in a national program called Pro-Teens . We went on trips to Jacksonville FL, Spring Hill Ohio, Tennessee Temple Schools in Chattanooga,TN and many times to the Wilds Camp in Rosman ,NC.
