Anna Mae Wilson Shuford, 83, of 21 Wedgefield Drive, Asheville, died Monday,
December 28, 1998, at Aston Park Health Care Center.
Mrs. Shuford was born in Ledger, NC, and was a daughter of the late William Zeb and
Lina Willis Wilson. She was a member of Snow Hill Baptist Church in Bakersville.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Robert Shuford; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary
J. and Linda Hopps Shuford; two grandchildren, Mark Shuford and Susan Brooks; and
five great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Dustin Shuford and Lindsay, Cameron, and Joshua
Brooks.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Thursday at Groce Funeral Home Chapel on
Patton Avenue with the Rev. Cecil Hopps, Jr., officiating. Committal services will be at
3:00 pm at Snow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Bakersville.
Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
