Augusta Loevenich Milhaupt, 95, died Sunday, August 24, 2014, at Aston Park Health Care Center.
A native of Inman, SC, she was a daughter of the late Otto and Flora Loevenich. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Leo C. Milhaupt, who died in 2005.
She and her husband, Leo, owned and operated Gateway Florists and Biltmore Florists for 28 years. She was a member of the Basilica of St. Lawrence, D.M.
Mrs. Milhaupt is survived by a daughter, Marti Milhaupt Baetz and her husband Paul of Scottsdale, AZ; three sons, William Leo Milhaupt and his wife Tresia, of Farmington, NM, John A. "Jack" Milhaupt of Campobello, SC, and Jeffrey Milhaupt and his wife Susan of Boone; two grandchildren, Maggie Milhaupt and Lucas Milhaupt of Boone; and two step-grandchildren, Wade Phillips and Kristin Phillips Amsler of Campobello.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Very Rev. Fr. Wilbur N. Thomas, V.F. at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Basilica of St. Lawrence, D.M. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.

I was saddened to read that your mother had died. No matter what the age of our parents, it is very difficult when they leave us. I know because my mother died a few years ago.
