Barbara Ann Swann, 67, of Marshall, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2008.
Mrs. Swann was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny B. "Bobbie" Swann.
She was employed by Ingles and Service America. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
An always very strong and independent woman, she is survived by her daughters, Debbie Lopez, Cindy Bridges, both of South Carolina; sons, Sam Jones, of Lake Lure, Jim Jones, of Marshall, and Ronnie Swann, of Asheville; sisters, Dixie Beachboard, Betty Jones, Lib Reece, Frances Lunsford, and Maxine Hipps, all of Asheville, and Marylou Maynard, of South Carolina; brother, Jerry Lipe, of Asheville; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 6:00 p.m. Friday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Willard Norton officiating.
our mom was the greatest she was a great wife mother grandmother greatgrand mother and the best friend you could have she loved cooking and sewing and did a lot of it iam so glad to have spent the time with her that i did and i will miss and love her always she is walking now in heaven with johnny no more pain no more sorrow i love and miss you both thanks for dixie and hub support and prayers and for being there for mom and for to every one else please keep me,brenda jonathan nick joey tiff and the girls and sam/dylan debbie/james cindy/russel/keith in your thoughts and prayers
