Barbara Jo “Bobbi” Cox, age 69, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Mission Hospital. Born to the late Harley Franklin Cox and Allie Cole Cox, Bobbi was also preceded in death by her beloved brothers, Jimmy Franklin Cox and Jackie Dale Cox.

Bobbi was known for her deep love for the Dallas Cowboys, NASCAR, Tim McGraw, Reba McEntire, and her all-time favorite show, General Hospital. She dedicated many years of her life to her career at Industries for the Blind before retiring. Bobbi was a free spirit with an amazing sense of humor; she was always seeking the good in those around her. She loved her family wholeheartedly, especially her cherished “sidekick” and best friend, Nevaeh.

She is survived by her son, Michael Cox; her niece Jessica Meadows, whom she loved as a daughter; her adored grandniece, Nevaeh Moore; and her beloved siblings, Jerry Cox, Glenda Meadows, Dorothy Pruitt, and Linda Hicks. She is also remembered and loved by her large extended family of nieces, nephews, and friends. Bobbi fought hard until her final breath, facing every challenge her health presented with courage and a smile. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Mission Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion during Bobbi’s final days.

The family will receive friends at Groce Funeral Home, located on Patton Avenue, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2025. The funeral service will follow at noon, officiated by the Rev. Willard Pruitt. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.
