Barbara Parham Hendrix, 75, of Asheville, died peacefully at her home after an extended illness on Friday, June 26, 2015.
Mrs. Hendrix was a daughter of the late Alfred Lee and Margaret Rice Parham. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Arthur B. Hendrix, Sr., four brothers, and one sister.
Mrs. Hendrix is survived by her two daughters, Pamela Hendrix, of the home, and Donna Marshall (Tommy), of Asheville; two sons, Artie Hendrix (Reta) and Jason Hendrix (Priscilla) all of Leicester; grandchildren, Crystal Shepherd (Thomas), Carl Marshall, Josh Brown (Lindsey), Brittany Hendrix (Kennedy), and Tanner Hendrix; great-grandchildren, Camryn Shepherd, Jake Shepherd, and Landon Brown; and sisters, Linda Metcalf (Don) and Diane Honeycutt (Micheal).
A graveside service for Mrs. Hendrix will be held at Pine Forest Baptist Church, 102 Ivy Hill Road, Weaverville, at 5:00 p.m. on Monday with her brother-in-law, the Rev. Don Metcalf, officiating.

We are so sorry to have lost our dear ‘sister’ Barbara. We will miss her so very much. We will always remember her visits with us, and the times her and her family would get together, going to car shows, shopping, and the like. We love you Barbara, and you will always stay in our hearts. ‘Til we meet again in Heaven’. God will watch over your beautiful family until you are back together.
Barbara, we will miss you so very much, but we also know that you have your angel wings in Heaven today. You were like a sister to me, and I am so happy to have bid you goodbye in your time of sorrow and pain. We will always remember the great times we had together with you and your family. We love you. Dear ones, We are so sorry for your loss. We loved her so much and will always treasure the great times and memories we have of her. She was so pleasant even though she was challenged by so many health problems. She is resting now in the presence of her loving Savior.
