Bertie Annette Roberts

Fletcher ~ Bertie Annette Roberts, 71, of White Pine Circle, died Friday, October 8, 2004 in a local hospital. A native of DeKalb County, GA, Mrs. Roberts was the daughter of the late Bertha Mae Richardson Wade and Hudie Summie Wade. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Roberts and a granddaughter, Crystal Verdin. Mrs. Roberts was employed by Emory University Data Processing. Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Verdin and her husband, Manuel Bass of Fletcher; a son, James "Jimmy" D. Johnson of Atlanta; a brother, David Wade and his wife, Paulette of Ellenwood, GA, and three grandchildren, Angel Verdin, Brian Johnson and his wife, Beth and Jodi Jackson and her husband, Gary. A funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road with Rev. Willie Warren officiating. Interment will follow at Skyview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
