Bessie Felthaus Baumgardner, 100, of Fairview, died Saturday, March 3, 2001 at 12:25 a.m. in Flesher's Fairview Rest Home. Bessie was born in Spartanburg, SC on February 12, 1901 to the late Andrew and Alice Adair Caldwell. She was preceded in death by a son Willliam A. Felthaus. She was a retired employee of Learner Shops with 37 years of service and was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Bessie is survived by a sister Mrs. Marvin Yung of Greer, SC; one son, Tony Felthaus of Asheville; two daughters, Mrs. Frances Johnson Fletcher of Rockledge, Fl, Mrs. Teeny Felthaus Pettit of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Patton Avenue Chapel of Groce Funeral Home with burial following in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Her famiy will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
