Beverly Ann Dickson, 63, of Yellow Roses Lane, Leicester, died on Saturday, November 1, 2008, at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center. A native of Hamilton, OH, Mrs. Dickson was a daughter of the late Duel and Ruby Cole Halcomb. Mrs. Dickson is survived by her husband, Charles Dickson; daughters, Charann Schneck and husband Thomas, of Leicester, Tricia Ann Ferguson and husband Keller, of Cocoa Beach, FL; sons, Kevin Dickson and wife Kim, of Raleigh, and Darrell Greene and wife Dawn, of Orange City, FL; sister, Linda Hunt, of Deland, FL; brothers, Grady Halcomb, of Lakeland, FL, Earl Halcomb, of Pearson, FL, and Jerry Halcomb, of LaGrange, AL; and seven grandchildren. A funeral service for Mrs. Dickson will be on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. with the Rev. Scott Reece officiating. A graveside service will take place on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Dickson Cemetery, in Jefferson, NC. Her family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center, P.O. Box 25336, Asheville, NC 28813, or to the Salvation Army, 204 Haywood St., Asheville, NC 28801.
