Bobby Fender Riddle, 62, of Osborne St., Asheville, died on Friday, July 1, 2011, at his residence. A native of Madison Co., he was a son of the late Hilliard Riddle and Edith Carver, and was the adopted son of the late Georgia Riddle. Mr. Riddle retired from General Motors after 30 years of service in the building maintenance department. Mr. Riddle is survived by his wife, Linda Fender; daughters, Alicia Fender, and Cheryl Harden; sons, Roger Harden and Nicholas Harden; sisters, Vronda King, Evelyn Stein, Hilda House, Sharon Griffin, Susan Robinson, and Theresa Music; and five grandchildren, Sebastian Harden, Matthew Harden, Briar Williams, MaCaleb "Oobie" Harden, and Chaignon Robinson. A funeral service for Mr. Riddle will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park. His family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
