Fairview ~ Brian Michael Surrett, 25, of Garren Creek Road, Fairview died on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native of Buncombe County, he was the son of Michael Surrett and Pam Towe Surrett both of Fairview. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Betty Towe. Brian attended A.C. Reynolds High School. In addition to his parents he is survived by his brother, Brandon Surrett of Fairview; paternal grandparents, Ralph Surrett of Tampa, FL and Doris Crabtree of Candler; he is also survived by numerous aunts, uncle and cousins. A private graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 -2:30 P.M. Friday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road in Arden.

  13. I loved Brian because no matter what he was feeling, he always went out of his way to make me laugh. He was also there for me when I needed a friend to confide in. We had so many wonderful memories together, and even though most of those are us just talking on the phone, they are some of the greatest memories that I have. I am lucky to have a video of Brian at a Halloween party, showing off that goofy side of him that everyone knows so well. You are in peace now, but I will always miss and love you!

  17. This is very sad news, but we must know and believe that Brian has gone to a much better place where he can no longer suffer or deal with the cruelness of this world. My thoughts and prayers are with his parents Mike and Pam and with his brother Brandon.

  23. Today is December 26, 2015 it is hard to believe it has been 8 years 9 months and 20 days since Brian went home, he is still very much in my thoughts daily and missed.

  24. Brandon, as you’re looking down from Heaven, you can see so many people whose lives you’ve touched that will miss you so much. Memories of you will still live on through the people who loved you so much. God must have needed another sweet angel and he chose you. Now you’re everyone’s Guardian Angel.
