Carol C. Poirier

Carol Clairice Corrado Poirer, 75, of 15 Hawthorne Lane, Asheville, died Wednesday, March 24, 1999, in the Hospice Solace Center.
Mrs. Poirier was born in Milwaukee, WI, and was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna B. Corrado. She was married to Robert Matthew Poirier, who died in 1971. She worked at Memorial Mission Hospital for 25 years and was a member of the congregation of the Basilica of St. Lawrence, D.M.
Mrs. Poirier is survived by a daughter, Claire Ann Johns of Asheville; a son, Robert J. Poirier of Lavonia, GA; a nephew, John Wenta of Asheville; and four grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Monsignor John McSweeney at the Basilica of St. Lawrence, D.M., at 10:00 am on Saturday. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
A Rosary is scheduled for 6:00 pm Friday evening at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue, after which the family will receive friends until 7:30 pm.
