Arden ~ Carol Grismer Ward, 76, of Arden, NC passed away Sunday, march 20, 2005 at Mountain Area Hospice Solace Center.
She was the daughter of the late Elmer and Lucille Lindahl Grismer.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Philip Ward, Sr. of Arden; two daughters, Gail Ward of Asheville and Susan Ward of Maryland; son, Philip Ward Jr. and his wife Neale of Cashiers; two grandchildren, Jesse and Mary Carol Ward; a sister, Priscilla Avery and her husband Walter of Asheville.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Calvary Episcopal Churchyard.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road is in charge of arrangements.

I’m very sorry about the passing of Mrs. Ward. I have enjoyed my friendship with her through being her next door neighbor and look forward to my continued friendship with Mr. Ward.
