CAROLYN BALDWIN ASHEVILLE - Carolyn Baldwin, 58, of Asheville was called home to her Lord on Monday, March 14, 2011 from her home. She was born in Asheville, NC. She is survived by her loving, caring husband Charles L. Baldwin of Asheville and her devoted mother Emma Ivory Parham and brother Calvin Parham and wife Sue. Proceeded in death by her son, David A. Rathburn II and father the late Morris Clinton Parham. Carolyn retired from Colbond, Inc, where she worked the past 18 years. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to two daughters and a son: Traci Willis and husband Mark of Mooresville, NC, Brooke Baldwin of Hendersonville, and Brian Baldwin and wife Maranda, of Denver NC. Her 6 grandchildren, Lane, Connor, and Anna Kate Willis, Kayden, Portia, and Alexis Baldwin, were the joy of her life. Carolyn is also survived by her aunt Marjorie Robinson and niece Janet McDevitt and husband Andy along with their children, her great niece and nephew Lindsey and Joshua, all who were very special to her. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.   17. Carolyn a kind, gentle, loving person. Good to all who knew her. Loving to family and friends and truly loyal to their needs. Trying to always be helpful and encouraging. I was so grateful and blessed to have her as my friend and sister-in-law for the last forty years. I will miss her so much. But Carolyn looks good walking on streets of gold.

  18. Auntie I will miss the funny birthday cards we exchanged with each other on ‘our birthday’ we shared…May your 1st birthday in heaven be awesome!! I can still hear you laughing about scaring me so bad on the jet ski, I’ll have to pay you back when I get to heaven you mischevious rascal!! :).

  19. Though I never knew Carolyn very well, I knew Nonnie through the words and memories of Brooke and Lexi. I know she will be missed but is happy and healthy with our Lord and her family in Christ will see her again!

  23. Carlynn is what she was to me. Ivory used to make make believe snuff out of coco and sugar. we used to have a time in the woods behind her house. She was always a pleasure to be around. My sincere condolences to all the family. I’ll miss her.

  24. I have the best & fondest memories of my Aunt Carolyn. She was one of a kind and truely be missed. But I have comfort knowing she is in heaven holding her son and being with all her loved ones! Our family will never be the same with her gone. You are at peace.
