Asheville Butterfly TrailCarroll Donald “Don” Arrowood, 85, of Fairview, died Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Fleshers Fairview Healthcare. Born in Buncombe County to the late Claude Arrowood and Pansy Burleson. He worked as an Independent Contractor.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Also preceding his death his wife, Betty Yvonne Arrowood; a grandson, Jesse Robinson; three sisters; Martha Davis, Lucille Jones, and Frances Macrae.
Survivors include his son, Tony Arrowood (Tara); daughters, Claudette Jenkins (Dean), Tracy Robinson (Blaine); grandchildren, Kyle Jenkins (Sheila), Sara Arrowood, Kylee Wooten, Madison Robinson; great grandchild, Dawson Jenkins; two sisters, JoAnn Metcalf of New Jersey and Wanda Montgomery (Jim) of Maryland.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
The family sends a special thank you to the staff of Fleshers Fairview Healthcare and Four Seasons Hospice for the excellent care he received.
Tony, Claudette, Tracy and family, Don was a special man. So blessed to have known him. Dad sends his love. He thought so much of Don and enjoyed spending time with him.
We will cherish the memories we have of Don, throughout the years. Joe always enjoyed visiting Don. Don was a quiet, kind man who could build anything. We love you family and are praying for you.
