Cecil Harold Webb, 68, of Asheville, died Thursday, October 20, 2005, at his home.
A native of Buncombe County, he was the son of Blanche Moore Webb and the late Howard Webb. Proud to have served his country with the US Air Force, he worked at Skyland Oldsmobile where he received his auto mechanic training through the GI Bill. His passion in life was in the pursuit of hunting and fishing. His family and friends knew him as a kind and helpful man. He was generous and always available to anyone in need.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Webb is survived by his wife, Kathy Webb; two children, Brenda Dell Bartlett and Brian Anthony Webb; three grandchildren, Anna Nicole Bartlett, Richard Harrison Webb and Christian Dryden Webb; a brother, Danny Webb; five sisters, Joan McCurry, Sharon Carter, Sally Morris, Lynn Collins and Jean Harris and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Jeff McCurry officiating.

We only found out about Cecil yesterday October 28th. We are so sorry to learn of his passing, and wanted to express out condolences. Cecil was a good friend to the family, and there are many good memories of his being in our home. If there is anything that we can do, please feel free to give any of us a call.

Cecil helped Mother keep us fed and safe and he was a good friend and brother to us, and I am proud that he was my brother, and I am glad to know that he had so many friends. Thank you all.
We are so sorry for the loss of this fine friend. He will be remembered as a kind man, professional expert mechanic and dear family friend.

Dear entire Webb family , I was so sorry to hear that another Webb brother had passed away….I will always remember Cecil as a teen and so full of life…..I am so sorry I cant be at his funeral….I have LOU GHREIGS desiese and cant do very much…….I love all of you…..
My prayers go out to the Webb family in this difficult time. Mr. Webb was always kind to my family when we visited him and remember his humorous conversations.

Dennis went on hunting trips with Cecil for many years and he thought the world of him. The family has our deepest sympathy. May GOD bless you and help you through these difficult times.
