Charles Dale Reese, 60, passed away at his home in Hendersonville, NC surrounded by his family on Monday, June 21, 2021.

Mr. Reese was born May 3, 1961 in Asheville, and was the son of the late Leila and Harold Reese. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Debbie.

Dale was a determined business man that spanned from the trailer industry, to paint and Quarter horse breeding, to the trucking industry. He was the owner of Reese Expedited Freight Company.

If you knew Dale, he always had something to say that would make you laugh. “Daleisms”.

Dale was a special man, who impacted many people in his life time by his extreme generosity and thoughtfulness. He always saw potential in someone, even when they didn’t see it themselves. He was always quick to lend a hand or give someone a chance. He was loved by many, especially his family, and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Robin V. Reese; three children, Dustin (Anai) Reese, Sara (Trevor) Reese, and Kate Reese; grandchildren, Briley, Georgia and Cade; brothers, Allan (Angie) Reese and Harold Reese; sisters, Sadie (LV) Clarke, Ann (Donnie) Stuart, and Amy Reese; special cousin, Heidi; and several nieces, nephews and very special friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 24th in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with Chaplain Michael Wermuth officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Family and friends will gather at 5:00 p.m. following the service in the Life Center at Skyland First Baptist Church, 2115 Hendersonville Rd., Arden, NC. All are welcome and please bring a covered dish to share as we honor Dale.
