Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My dear friends — so sorry to hear of Charlie’s passing. He and I shared a common bond: The love of Naval Aviation. I will remember the friend and compatriot. Never forget we were part of the ‘first across’. Love to you Elizabeth. Take care.

  2. Chuck,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this tough time. I pray that through all the frenzy of arrangements, you can take some time to reflect on your dad’s life and your relationship with him.

    With Sympathy,

    Lou Hedrick

  3. To the Cunningham family we send our deepest condolences. Up until the week before he died, my father, Landon Roberts, inquired about Charlie everytime we drove by Reynolds Mountain, Grace Chruch or the clock downtown. Daddy missed seeing his old friend. With Charlie’s passing, Asheville has lost another icon, but he will be one of the men remembered for making Asheville a better place.

  4. Betty,

My husband, Brad, and I would like to extend our condolences regarding Charlie’s passing.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you go through this difficult time.

    God bless,

    Lori and Brad Clark
    (Daughter of Charlie Read)

  5. JC,
I’m very sorry to hear about your Dad’s passing. Please know I am thinking about you and your family.
    Dave Capps

  6. Dear Jackie, Chuck, Jim and Betty,

My heart is filled with sadness at dear Charlie’s passing. I will always hold fond memories of him and cherish the fact that he was part of my and Julia’s life.

    Love, Monica
