Charles Lee Taylor, 72, of Bear Farm Rd., Candler, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at the Elizabeth House. A native of Buncombe Co., he was a son of the late Charlie Lee and Lacie Guy Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Elkins Taylor, and his sister, Ruth Garren. Mr. Taylor worked for 37 years for Dave Steel. He was a member of the Local 812 Steelworkers Union. Mr. Taylor is survived by daughters Anita Taylor (Mark Litchfield), and Angie Bugg (Gary); grandchildren Tuesday Hood, Brandon Bugg, and Hunter Hood; special friend, Ruby Cothran; sisters Barbara Black (Neal), and Rosie Nesmith; brothers Marvin Taylor (Becky), and Roy Taylor (Helen); brother-in-law Benny Garren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Brown's View United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ed Worley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family expresses appreciation to Four Seasons Hospice and the staff of the Elizabeth House for the love and care they provided to Mr. Taylor.

  5. At the rebellious age of 16-17 years old, Lee and Margaret Taylor took me in as their 3rd daughter and treated me as their own. I have many fond memories there. Lots of jokes, made up songs, and laughter. Lots of love and prayers to my sisters, Anita and Angie, and to all the rest of Lee’s family during this sad time.

Even though my granny lived up the hill and we never saw each other that often, I still love you gals and appreciate the times I hung out with Greg and got to know you on the bus n such. Keeping you and your family in my prayers.God has your Dad now and they will be waiting for you!
