Chris Pollak

chris pollak
Christopher "Chris" Pollak, age 65, died suddenly on Saturday, June 17, 2017, surrounded by his wife and friends, music, nature, and many of the things he loved. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his children, Josh Pollak and wife Creath, and Sara Pollak Brown and husband Robert; grandchildren, Ryan, Avery, and Riley Grace; and his brother Ross. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl F. Pollak and Rebecca Nicholson Pollak, and his first wife, mother of his children, Theresa Distefono Pollak. Given his engaging spirit, Chris never met a stranger. A joyful and easy going man he was a devoted husband to his wife Nancy and family. Chris was the epitome of a Christian man; he was well loved by all. There are some people in life that make you laugh a little louder, smile a little wider, and live a little bigger. Chris was one of those people. Chris and Nancy were fortunate enough to experience the world together. He was an avid lover of travel, music and dance. Services will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Asheville, NC at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 21, 2017. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in his name to the American Heart Association or to the Asheville Humane Society. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
