  3. Junior’ could drive a vehicle straight in front of a video Camera with a smile. Pride of Yancey County! He was second only to Mike and J.L. Robinson, Guy was the worst! Junior is already Missed and I hope he had a wonderful life but he’s already enjoying the perfectly happy one with Raleigh!

  4. Hilda,

I was shocked and saddened to learn this morning that Junior had passed away. I didn’t know him real well, but I always enjoyed being around him. May God bless you.

    Sharon

  5. I’m gonna miss seeing that little truck full of all kinds of junk putting through Candler, especially since every Saturday it sat in Mom and Dad’s driveway. The community has lost a kind and gentle man who will never be replaced.

  6. Hilda, I sure will miss not running into Junior at yard sales this spring and getting my hug from him. He has been a wonderful friend to my parents and I know that he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. May you find comfort in God’s love for you and your memories of Junior.

  7. Hi,
I have a lot of fond memories of Junior from about 1958 – 1963. He was a wonderful person and I really enjoyed being around him during those years. It is evident in reading comments from others that he had not changed. I left in 1963 and lost track of most of my early friends. It was several years before we returned to this area and I should have tried to find those friends.I assisted with mechanics on the 1951 Ford that he raced for a time and with great success I might add. We picked up cars and brought them back to the lot for Raliegh during that time. He was quiet a man and a gentleman.
    May God Bless You,
    Charles

  8. I was so sorry to learn about Claude. He was a beloved member of the Burnsville Class of 1957. We have missed him at the reunions. I always think of him as the class ‘monkey’ – he was alot of fun.

  9. Hilda, David and I were very sorry to hear about Junior. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow. Heaven is brighter tonight….David and Jane
