Claude “Lee” Bowman, age 62, of Swannanoa, and formerly of Marion, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 17, 2018, at John F. Keever Solace Center in Asheville following a long illness.

Lee was also a volunteer fireman with the Pleasant Gardens Volunteer Fire Department for numerous years and for most of his life was a self-employed Un-limited Licensed Electrician.
He was a friend and mentor to many over the years. He will be greatly missed.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Tunnel Road chapel of Groce Funeral Home. Rev. David Blackmon will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Flowers are welcome but the family requests that you consider making a memorial donation to John F. Keever Solace Center, P.O. Box 25338, Asheville, NC, 28813.
Deepest Sympathy Donna.

We’re so sorry to hear about Lee. He put up a long and hard fight but can rest in peace now. Thinking of you all at this difficult time.
Donna I am so sorry to hear about Lee. He was a great guy and friend. He will be greatly missed. If there is anything I can do or you need me just let me know.
Donna, I was to sorry to learn of Lee’s passing. We hadn’t talked in quite sometime, however, that is not unusual for us. I had no idea he had been ill.
Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this very difficult time. Always remember the smiles and good times you shared. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
Sorry about Lee was a great friend to me for many years will miss him very much you’re in our thoughts and prayers. If we can do anything to help you we are here for you.
My heart weeps with your loss. I have not seen Lee since I was a boy, but it was just the other day I was thinking of his grandmother, my ‘Aunt Mitty’. Though it has been all those years, I have not forgotten those times we played as children.
Our deepest sympathy to Ann, Jo, and the rest of the family from my husband Steve and me. Lee was a schoolmate from Pleasant Gardens Elementary (I think we were in first grade together) and High School whom I will remember fondly. My prayers are with Lee and the family.
Donna,
Kenny and I are sending prayers to you and the family at this time.
God Bless you always.
