Clide Eddie Wright
November 23, 1941 ~ December 11, 1999
Asheville Butterfly TrailMr. Wright was born in Buncombe County and was employed for 20 years as a construction superintendent with Beverly Grant. He was a former driver at Asheville Motor
Speedway and an avid outdoorsman and grouse hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Clement Wright; a son, Mark Wright of Oakley; his parents, Roland Wright of Weaverville and Loretta Reed Wright of Fairview; two sisters,
Doris Hawkins of Leicester and Alice Smith of Arden; and a brother, Jim Wright of Hoopers Creek.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Norris Wright officiating.
His family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Monday at
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
EDDIE WAS A BIG PART OF MY LIFE FOR 13 YEARS THAT I WAS A RESIDENT OF ASHEVILLE. YOU MIGHT SAY HE WAS MY BEST FRIEND AND WAS LIKE A FATHER TO ME. I WILL MISS HIM, BUT I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE GOOD TIMES WE SHARED.
