Asheville – Clyde Lindsey, 88, of Asheville, died Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the CarePartners Solace Center.

A native of Jackson County, he was a son of the late Mitchell and Selma Mull Lindsey. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Willie and Joseph Lindsey.

Clyde retired from Ethan Allen with 21 years of service.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Julia Stepp Lindsey; two daughters, Debbie Wilson of Charlotte and Patricia Brock (Michael) of Marion; two granddaughters, Misti Blankenship (Russ) of Rock Hill, SC and Lindsey Price (Kevin) of Huntersville, NC, as well as four great-grandchildren, Cooper Julia Blankenship, Kevin Price, II, Grayson Price and Emersyn Price.

Graveside services will be private.

Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.

  2. I am so sorry for your loss. Clyde was a wonderful, kind man. Some of my fondest memories are lake days and times he would join us kids in the water for playtime. I hold all of you close to my heart, and pray God will give you peace and extra strength to endure this difficult time.
