Dear Helen and Talmadge and Becky,
It is with sincere grief that I heard the news from Phillip this morning that your beloved Cricket has died. Your love and support for her through all the years has been seen and respected by us all. Cricket was a very special and loving young woman who faced continuing challenges most of us cannot even imagine, and she found unique ways to face these and live her life with courage and dignity. All of this was with the deepest and steadfast love and support of her parents through it all. I love you each and pray that you will be sustained once again by God’s love in your lives. Cliff and I will be coming to the services in Asheville to be there with your family to share our love and sympathy, and we will all miss Cricket’s smile and loving spirit.

Dear Talmage & Helen, Becky and Allison — So very sorry to hear of Cricket’s death. She suffered so much and you all were right there for her through it all. You were a blessing to her and now can be comforted that she is finally free of her pain. It is times like this that we really appreciate the value of Jesus’ ransom for us. Think of God’s promise, ‘And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.’ (Rev. 21:4) Deepest sympathy! Sal & Alice Gambalie and family.
I am so sorry for your loss. She was a joy to get to know. You will be in my prayers.
We will never forget the smile on her face and all the fun times we had together in Durham and Asheville. May the memories of her life comfort you for a long time. We love you all….You are always in my heart. Love your adopted daugher Jackie
Talmage and Helen, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Take comfort in the love of those that surround you.
