Dabney Deanne Barham, 48, of Weaverville, went to be with the Lord, Friday, March 13, 2020 at Elizabeth House after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Jackson, MS to Nathan Loyd “Bubba” Barham of Aberdeen, MS and the late Janet Thomas Barham. She leaves behind a loyal and loving companion, Emma Louise, her beloved New Foundland.

The family wishes to express thanks to special friends, Tara and Tony Arrowood and Sharon Maxwell, as well as Dr. Praveen Vashist and his staff at Asheville Hematology and Oncology.

Due to the current situation regarding COVID-19, a decision has been made by the family to postpone the memorial service to a later date which will be announced by Groce Funeral Home/Tunnel Road.

  7. Please accept my condenses! She was my best friend in HS. I looked for her for years and couldn’t find out where she was! Every couple of years I would do the same…but 2 days ago I am shocked by this story… my heart is broken and I and my family will cherish her forever!!!
