Daniel Marvin Hagan

Daniel Marvin Hagan, 90, of 266 Bingham Road, Asheville, died Friday, April 11, 2003, at Hospice Solace Center. A native of Madison County, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Nancy Franks Hagan. He lived most of his life in Buncombe County and was retired from MB Haynes after 30 years of service. He also worked at the WNC Stockyard for 20 years and was a member of Anderson Branch Baptist Church. Mr. Hagan is survived by his wife, Mary Ledbetter Hagan; a daughter, Mary Lou Waddell and her husband Ronnie of Swannanoa; two sons, Riley E. Hagan and his wife Evelyn of Marshall and Ray Bob Hagan and his wife Margaret of Asheville and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Bob Hagan officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Ray Hagan, Richard Hagan, Jerry Hagan, Ricky Roberts, Allan Payne and Dan Messer. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Sunday prior to the service and request that memorials be made to Mountain Area Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.
