Daniel Wayne Walters, 49, of Swannanoa, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020.

Daniel was born June 10, 1971 in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was a son of Nancy Sue Thayer (Gail Thayer) and of the late Daniel Walters.

In addition to his mother, Daniel is survived by his daughters, Teel Elise Walters and Jadyn Walters; and his brothers, Kenny Walters (Jody Walters), Roger Thayer (Julie Thayer) and Brian Thayer (Jennifer Thayer).

  13. We worked closely with Dan for many years when we ran the Remote Area Medical eye program. He was instrumental in helping getting everything set up and off the ground. He became a good friend and we are heartbroken to hear of his passing. He was a wonderful person and we will always remember his kindness and willingness to help others. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, especially his beautiful daughters.
