Eric Daniel "Danny" Lemmons, 72, of Mills River, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in Asheville. A native of Mills River, he was a son of the late Lester and Pauline Walker Lemmons. Danny worked for Bell South, serving as a cable repairman from 1967 until his retirement in 2000. He coached football and baseball and also enjoyed horses, the outdoors and life in general. He was a member of Lake Hills Baptist Church and was a true family man. He will be missed by all who knew him. Danny is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sandra Crawford Lemmons; his children, Jeff Lemmons (Dolores), Kimberly Harwell (Kevin), Patience Bryson, Michael Lemmons (Christy), Robert William Worley (Melody), Christa Parlow (Eric) and Kelley Turbyfill (Anthony); grandchildren, Wesley, Courtney, Charley, Lindsey, Danielle, McKenzie, Carter, Megan, Madison, Jenny, Jordan, Anna and Trace; great-granddaughter Kennedy, as well as several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. No services are planned, but the family graciously requests that memorial donations be made to Lake Hills Baptist Church, 370 Lake Drive, Candler, NC 28715. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
