David Gordon Medford, 61, of 21 Josh Road, Candler, died Thursday, June 5, 2008, at Mission Hospitals.
A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of Lucille DeHart Medford and the late Blaine Medford and was also preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Medford Tyree. A US Army veteran, he worked for D.O. Creasman Cable Company.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Medford is survived by his sister, Sheila Medford Emory and husband Robert; a brother, Donald Earl Medford; two nephews, Mark Joseph Medford and Adam R. Medford; a great-nephew, Jacob Blaine Medford and his very close and dear friend, Geraldine Bradford.
Graveside services will be 10:00 am Monday at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

David and I had lots of good times
together and bad times too. Life is
full of ups and downs. When David was hard to deal with he would ask
me why I put up with him. I always
said I don’t know.It realy was because I cared and he knew that.
Dave has always been very special to Kurt. We were saddened to read of his passing. He will be missed. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
