DEBORAH LOU ELLIOTT CANDLER – Deborah Lou Elliott, 59, of Candler, died Monday, November 15, 2010. Mrs. Elliott was born in Asheville, NC, and was a daughter of the late Harold F. McCarson Sr. and Ruth Tow McCarson. She is survived by her husband, Roy Elliott; son Jonathan B. Elliott and his wife, Kelly; grandchildren Joshua Shafer and Atley Elliott; sister Deniece McDaris of Pickens, SC; and brother Harold F. McCarson Jr., of Candler. A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with the Revs. Bobby Winebarger and Doug McDaris officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue. If so desired, memorials may be made to CarePartners Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.

  7. Roy, I worked with Deb at BarclaysAmerican Financial. I always thought the world of her. I am so very sorry for your loss. Her posts on FB about her faith in God have been an inspiration to me. May you find comfort in knowing that she is at home in heaven with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, and one day we will see her again. All of my love and prayers are with you and all of your family.     I have hsd the privilege of knowing Deb.most all of her life.I was so thankful that she,Den. and my Deb.were raised in a christen home. They were very close. Deb.looked upon your two sisters as her sisters.I will miss her so much.She was always a beautiful lady. God be with you and all of the family during these griefing times.
