Rhonda, Gerry and family, We loved Dewell so much in our Sunday school class where she was an anchor for all of us. We have missed her while she has been in Georgia with her precious loving family. She has been my friend a long time and I have many sweet, fun, smiling, memories. Blessings and love to all of you!
We are so sorry to here of Dewell’s passing. Have a lot of good memories of her world famous buckeye candy. Most of all was her sense of humor. Sometimes it was difficult to determine whether she was correcting you or just having fun. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Rhonda, Mike and family,
We express to you our sympathy in your time of sorrow.
Dewell was a very special lady and a precious friend to
us for the past forty-four years. She was a faithful servant
of the Lord and a gracious addition to the staff of WABC
while we served as pastor and minister of music. We looked
forward to her ‘treats’ from the kitchen as she prepared meals
for the church family. (No one makes better ‘buck-eyes’ than
Dewell!) She also provided many a laugh for the staff and for
the church family. She was gifted with special humor. And
she loved the Lord and His church and she honored both with
lip and life. Earth’s loss is heaven’s gain.
We love you and are praying for you,
Dr. and Mrs. J.
So sorry for the loss of your precious mom Rhonda & Tiffany, we think of her quite often & had been trying to find you all thru FB, etc. She was a Beautiful, Sweet Lady & we loved her dearly! You all will be in our thoughts & prayers!
Sincerely,
Karen & Bill Carter
Asheville, NC
Such fond memories of growing up across the street from Dewell and John…loved discussing NASCAR with John and loved Dewell’s banana pudding! You are all in my thoughts and prayers as you journey through this difficult time. I know we will see her again one day…what a glorious promise!
A wonderful lady who was true to our Lord, His church and did so much for all of us. Looking forward to the day we will join the celebration she has gotten to first. My deepest sympathy during these days to all the family.
Oh Dewell, you were such an awesome lady! I hadn’t seen that you had passed away! You’re probably with Mother & so many other’s now, you’ll be missed! To all of her family, I’m SO sorry for your loss!
So very sorry for your loss. She was so faithful to her Savior and his church. A very kind, precious and humble person. I will always remember the wonderful meals she prepared on Wednesday. We will see her again because of what Jesus has done for us all. What a glorious day it will be. God bless you all.
Rhonda and family…..so sorry I was not able to attend the memorial service for your mom. Mrs. Dewell was a wonderful, Godly woman. She always brought joy to us on staff at WABC. No one made buckeye candy better than her. Whenever she would fix them she would always bring me a little paper bag with 6 of them in it and put in frig, then stop in my office and say….made Buckeyes tonight…you might want to check the frig before you leave. A very very special lady. I know she is rejoicing in the very presence of our Lord at this moment. Keeping you in our prayers
