Don E. Morgan, 93, respected dairyman and farmer, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017, at his home.
A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Harry Mitchell and Blanche Plemmons Morgan. He was an Army veteran, a dairy farmer, and a member of the Farm Service Agency and Grace United Methodist Church. He was a friend to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Arlene Shook Morgan, sister, Maleta Young, and brothers, Eddie and Max Morgan.
Surviving is his son, Neal Morgan (Ava) and he was a loving grandfather to his grandsons, Eli Morgan (Kinsey) and Nathanael Morgan (Kaytlin). Also surviving are great-grandsons, Levi Morgan and Samuel Morgan; and brothers, Porter Morgan and Dale Morgan.
Private graveside services for the family will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Grace United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. David Green officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church, c/o 14 Buckner Road, Leicester, NC 28748, or to the Leicester Community Welcome Table, PO Box 36, Leicester, NC 28748.

To the Don Morgan Family. So very sorry for the loss of Don. I had not seen Don in several years, but I always enjoyed visiting the Morgan Bros. Dairy Farm.
I was the Fieldman for Biltmore Dairy where the Morgans sold their milk. It was a very good dairy operation, and I learned things about milking cows from Don and his brothers
Don was a very hard working man, so may he rest in peace.

Neal, Ava, Eli & Nathanael – Aunt Ronda just told me about Don passing away. I am so sad and had no idea he was 93. I know you enjoyed your time with him, your boys & grandkids. I just learned of Don’s passing. He was a lovely man and the first to welcome me to Morgan Branch. I have many memories of or chats as we passed on the road. I know he is missed. My sympathy to all.
