Donald Fredrick Stucker of Arden, NC passed away on December 13, 2025.

He was born December 1, 1933 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Walter Stucker and Hazel Stucker Howard. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his first wife, Joanne Stucker, his siblings Walter Stucker, Jr., Nancy McCluller, step sister, Barbara Goddyn and step father, Bud Howard.

Donald served in the United States Army and spent the majority of his service in the Korean War. He worked at Inmont Corporation in Toledo, Ohio until 1974 when he moved to North Carolina and began working for Tycar Chemical as a salesman. After retirement, he became a wood turner and a furniture restorer. He opened his own shop and offered classes to those wanting to learn woodturning. He enjoyed making bowls and candle holders and giving them away.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Faith Stucker, his children Roxanne Stanford, Jeff Stucker (Dawn), Todd Stucker (Angie), Julie Callahan (Mal), and Tyrone Stucker (Dahn), stepchildren, Timothy Frederick (Debbie) and Melissa Golden; his sisters, Marylin Woerner and Beverly Carney, stepsister Sharon Nickolocus and half brother, Claire Howard Jr.; grandchildren Jennifer Strouse, Jeanette Miller, Tyler Hunter (Hannah), Nicholas Stucker, Katie Stucker, Gabriel Magruder, Marcus Stucker and Lauren Stucker; step grandchildren Seth Golden (Ashley), Megan Golden, Abby Golden, and Nathan Golden; great grandchildren, Ashley, Jonathan, Matthew, Mia, Noah, Collin, Claire and Hazel; step great grandchildren, Fabian, Iris and Tucker, and a great-great granddaughter, Violet.

A funeral service will be held at 12PM on Thursday, December 18, 2025 in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. Burial with military honors will follow at 2:00 PM at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain. The family will receive friends from 11 to 12PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
