Donnie Maynor Holcombe

June 13, 1919 ~ August 3, 1999
Donnie Maynor Holcombe, 80, of 51 Busbee View Road, went home to be with Jesus Tuesday, August 3, at her residence.
A native of Buncombe County, she was daughter of the late Thomas Vestal and Elsie Ball Maynor and was also preceded in death by three brothers, Rufus, Elmer and Carl Maynor and four sisters, Bessie Helton, Mayfrey Ledford, Lola Brown and Thelma Ashe. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ira Holcombe; one daughter Marilyn Holcombe Knupp and her husband Rodger of Asheville; two sons, Gary Holcombe and his wife, Karen of Asheville, Ronald Holcombe of the home and two grandsons, Matthew and Daniel Knupp.
Services will be held Friday, 11:00 am at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with the Revs. Jim Page and Larry Carver officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30pm Thursday at the funeral home on Long Shoals Road.
