Doris Louetta Wilson Page, born on April 12, 1932, passed away early Monday morning, January 25, 2021, after a period of declining health.
Doris was the daughter of John Alexander Wilson and Parilee Penley Wilson, and sister of John Wilson, Jr., who passed away in 1961.
Doris worked for Biltmore Dairy Farms over 30 years, first on the Biltmore Estate before the new Biltmore Dairy and Dairy Bar were built. She enjoyed playing piano, singing, watching old movies, feeding the birds and squirrels, and the company of her beloved dog, Sam, who also recently passed.
She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Page Tomkalski; son-in-law, Ronald Tomkalski; grandchildren, Lauren and Stuart Ball, and Ace, Chase, and Zakk Tomkalski; great-granddaughter, Caitlin Ball; nephews, Steve and Brian Wilson, and niece, Lynn Wilson Reed.
The graveside service will be held at Gashes Creek Cemetery on Saturday, January 30, at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Allen Rash will officiate.
It is requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to the Asheville Humane Society.
