Arden ~ On Sunday, January 28th, 2018, Doris Pressley, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, passed away peacefully at the age of 82.
A native of Western North Carolina, Doris enjoyed spending time with her family, talking with friends, and watching NASCAR races. Doris will be lovingly remembered by her children, Bridget Scott (Tammy) and Sharon Smith. Doris will also be forever remembered by her numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends. She will join her creator, her husband, Bob Pressley and son, Gary Scott, in the Kingdom of Heaven. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Elizabeth Austin Parker, a brother, J.B. Parker and a sister, Pauline Ellege.
A celebration of Doris’s life will be held at Bent Creek Baptist Church at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 conducted by the Rev. Tommy Bridges. Interment will be held in the church cemetery and the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Bent Creek Baptist Church Music Ministry, 1554 Brevard Road, Asheville, NC 28806.

Ed: I am so sorry about Doris passing away. I have many fond memories of her from our time at C/H and Eaton. I pray God’s strength for you and your family.
Sharon and Bridgett – your Mom was a wonderful women. She was like a mother to me. She was a wonderful grandmother to Tammy and Amy. We loved her very much and she will be missed. We love you all.
Sharon and Bridget, I am praying for both of you in this sad time of your life. Your mother is the person who knew you the longest and always loved you no matter what. May God comfort you and know that you will be together again in time. I send love to you both.

So sad to hear of her passing. Doris was always so nice to me when we would drop by to see Bob! My prayers are with the family!

Sharon, Doris & mom are soaring with the Angels together, far apart from their worldly hardships & free now to spread their wings in joy & the love of their precious Savior.
