Dorothy Crumley McKinney, 81, of 569 Pond Road, died Monday, July 25, 2011, at her home.
Mrs. McKinney was born in Greenville, SC, and was a daughter of the late Madison Mallonee Crumley and Marjorie Ellen Thompson Crumley. She was retired as a manager with Roses Department Store.
Surviving are her husband, Clyde W. McKinney, a daughter, Phyllis McKinney Jamison; sons, Randall Eugene McKinney and wife, Kaye, and Stephen Ray McKinney; one sister, Doris Waters and husband, Don; one brother, Franklin Crumley and wife, Diane; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Bent Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Bridges officiating. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends at the church following the service.

Phyllis, Steve, and Randy – we are so sorry to hear that Dot passed away today. But, you know that she is in heaven rejoicing with Jesus. It’s so wonderful that we have that assurance! I have so many memories through all the years of your family. Dot was my alto partner is choir for many years. I loved her very much!

We’ll miss her and June and I are so glad we got to come by and visit while she was still able to talk and reminisce. We love you all.
