Dorothy Lee Cissell, 60, of 14 Shadow Lake Drive, Hendersonville, died Thursday, August 10, 2000, in an Asheville hospital.

Mrs. Cissell was a native of Polk County and was a daughter of the late August and Veluie Galloway Blackwell. She was married to the late Donald R. Cissell.

Surviving are one daughter, Laura Thomas, one son, Tim Foster, and one step-daughter, Glenda Spicer, all of Hendersonville; two sisters, four brothers, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services and burial will be in Washington, Indiana and a memorial service will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, August 20, at Glassy Mountain Baptist Church in Landrum, SC, with the Rev. Jimmy Blackwell officiating.

Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family.
