  5. Dot was more like a big sister than an aunt, when I was growing up – in the 50’s! I have wonderful memories of those long-ago times. Later on, I always ate her green beans & potatoes at the family get-togethers-they were the best. I remember the fun we had telling jokes and laughing while she fixed my hair in her beauty shop. Now, it’s hard to believe she’s gone. I’m glad she’s not suffering anymore, but she will be missed so very much by her family.

  6. I am so sorry for your loss. I was blessed to have known Dot, even though it was for a few months. I am a nurse working 11-7 at Universal Healthcare. We had many talks late at night when she would be awake. I found that she was a strong, amazing woman…wish I had known her longer. She cared so much for her family and friends. I will miss seeing her smile every night. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

  7. Dear Ray and family,
So very sorry to hear that you’ll have lost a precious wife, mother, and grandmother. I’m thankful that I knew her and Ray and will remember her kindness and hospitality. My thoughts and prayers are with you’ll at this time of loss. It is a blessing to know though that this is not the end she has just moved countries, and we will join her one day for a blessed reunion and we will be together in Heaven for eternity. May our Lord’s grace and mercy give you’ll the strength you need at this time and in the day’s ahead. God bless each of you.

Many of us here in Hendersonville did not see it in the paper before the visitation or we would of come. Please forgive us.

  8. Praying for the Family, and asking The Lord’s Peace upon you all. I was wondering if this is the Whitaker family that was our neighbor, on Marlowe Drive in Asheville, NC. It would have been in 1966-1972. Wonderful neighbors, nice to have near by!! My Dad, Scott spoke well of all of this family.
