EARL T. “DOC” BROCK
Earl Thurston “Doc” Brock, 74, of 17 Park Lane, Asheville, died Tuesday, July 1, 2003, in an Asheville hospital.
Mr. Brock was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late Charlie and Ella Devore Brock. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Brock who died in 1959. He was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict and was retired after 29 years with Mills Manufacturing Co.
Surviving are two daughters, Rose Price of Asheville and Jennifer Brock of Fairview; four sons, Michael Brock of Leicester, James Brock of Wichita, KS, Mark Brock of Asheville and Richard Brock of Leicester; a sister Mary Jo Fore of Arden, and a brother Perry (Buster) Brock of Candler.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Browns View United Methodist Church Cemetery.
His family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
