Eddie Allison

Eddie Allison, 70, of Arden, died Monday, July 7, 2025 at Biltmore Haven in Arden.

Born in Hampton, Virginia, he was the husband of the late Martha Ann (Swain) Allison, and the son of the late Lee Vernon and Laura (Smith) Allison. He was also preceded in death by two brothers: John Richard Allison and Donald Ernest Levi.

A certified arborist, Eddie was listed in “Who’s Who in Executives & Professionals 1999-2000”. This book can be found in the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. He provided specialized tree services in North and South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, and Louisiana for 25 years. Eddie was also a member of the Black Mountain Chamber of Commerce, the International Society of Arborculture, and the National Arborist Association.

Eddie is survived by two sons: Kevin Allison and Eddie Dean Allison; a daughter, Ashley Allison; seven grandchildren: Khristian Clemmons, Kaidence Fadler, Savanna Miller, Kylie Allison, James Allison, Jacob Allison, and Jasmine Waycaster; and two sisters: Shirley Allison Goldsmith and Polly Allison Brooks.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Rev. Roger Rearden officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, from 1 to 2 PM.
