Eddie Mavity Huff

Eddie Mavity Huff, 77, of Asheville, North Carolina, formerly of Sunnyvale, CA, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Mission Hospital, Asheville, North Carolina. Born August 17, 1935 in Lafayette, GA, she is predeceased by her parents, Rev. Donald E. and Mrs. Foy C. (Cornett) Mavity and sister Judy T. Sale. A private memorial service will be held at an undisclosed time. Eddie was born in Lafayette, GA to Donald and Foy Mavity on August 17, 1935. Eddie went on to earn a degree in Psychology from Mercer University, graduating in 1953. Eddie resided in Sunnyvale, CA from 1970 to 2000 where she was a key member of First Baptist Church of Sunnyvale. Eddie enjoyed being a church organist and pianist for over 50 years. Eddie enjoyed collecting antiques, reading, traveling and spending time with friends and family. Eddie is greatly missed by her husband of forty two years; Donald W. Huff of Asheville; her sister Mary Sue Roberts of FL; sons Donald and Paul Taylor; daughter Lee Ann Taylor; five grandchildren, Gabriel Taylor, Sara Taylor, Celia Taylor, Scott Taylor, and Christopher Taylor and many dear friends.
