Edith Margaret Conrad

Asheville – Edith Margaret Conrad, 85, of West Asheville, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021, at CarePartners Solace Center.

Ms. Conrad was born October 22, 1935, in Richmond Co., NC, to the late Crews S. and Alice Rushing Conrad. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the Womens’ College, Greensboro (now UNC-G) and Master’s degree in Economics from UNC-Greensboro. She was a retired stockbroker.

She was a member of The Cathedral of All Souls Episcopal Church. Edith was an active member of the Democratic Party and fought for equal rights for women and minorities for a majority of her life.
