Edna O'Daniel Burrell, 88, of Candler, passed away Monday, February 9, 2009 at Memorial Mission Hospital. She was a daughter of the late William and Ada Beach O'Daniel. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Herman Glenn Burrell. Surviving are two daughters, Glenda Redmond and her husband Franklin of Candler and Fran Poss and her husband Jerry of Hollywood, AL; a sister, Emma Campbell of Lexington, SC; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. A funeral service for Mrs. Burrell will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Piney Mountain Methodist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
