Although,
I do not know your family personally, I would like to share some encouraging
thoughts from the Bible. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult
times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, And he will wipe out every tear from their
eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be
anymore. The former things have passed away. Very soon now, we will never
experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again
once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29. May these words give you a new hope.
I am truly sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. May you find comfort in Gods promise to soon ‘swallow up death forever’ and to ‘wipe away the tears from all our faces’ (Isaiah 25:8)
We enjoyed visiting Ed each week. He was always very pleasant and welcomed us with a big smile. He received Holy Communion 3 days before he died. We believe that he is at peace in heaven with Our Lord.

I am saddened to hear of Ed’s passing. Ed is my mentor and friend
from the next desk at the Water Board engineering department in the
1960’s. I recall his fine engineering skills and his soft-spoken gentlemanly attitude towards life. I learned many things from Ed including his pursuit and dedication to engineering excellence and investment philosophy. I’ll always recall his kind salutation to me as “…my young friend….â€
It is pleasing to know Ed and Dorothy enjoyed their dream of retirement in the Ashville area.
May you see your Redeemer face to face, and may he embrace you
as one of his flock forever.

I remember Ed fondly. He was my first supervisor when I joined the Water Department in 1971. I appreciated his ‘back up’ as I served the city in various positions within the water department. He gave me his Engineer’s handbook when he retired from the Department. I learned how to be an effective engineer from Ed. I am glad that he found a good catholic community to live out his years and extend my prayers for Ed and Grace. He comes to mind whenever I see the ‘Queen’ street sign as I drive around Detroit.

Thank you for the kind comments for my Uncle Ed. Also, I would like to thank Virginia Moore and her family for their friendship, love, and support for Ed and Dorothy all of these years. I’m honored to share the same sense of humor and gene pool as Uncle Ed.
